Summary:
What Employers Need to Know About the Opioid Crisis: Opioid abuse is a its own pandemic.  The impact of COVID-19 has served to increase dependency on drugs and alcohol.  Seth’s presentation will incorporate the impact of childhood adversity on opioid addiction in addition to the impact these drugs have from “routine” surgeries.  Many HR professionals are left to deal with increasing work comp claims, high attendance rates and poor work behavior.  Seth will also share strategies HR directors can consider as a part of their work systems.

Speaker:

Seth Dewey, Reno County Health Dept & Rick Kraus, USD 308
Seth Dewey is the education coordinator for the Reno County Health Department.  During his lifetime he has struggled with drug abuse.  Seth’s personal journey has allowed him to become an asset to the Hutchinson community and with the Reno County Health Department.  Seth is an alumnus of the Oxford house, serves as the state chair for the Oxford House and is also on their world council.
